Growing up believing that owning your own business was just "something everyone did", it is little wonder Jane Cay went on to own Birdsnest, one of Australia’s most successful independent online retailers.

Birdsnest is nestled in the main street of Cooma, NSW, the largest town in the Snowy Mountains region with a population of almost 7,000. In 2008, the store expanded into a successful online operation, and has since won multiple awards including Best Online Customer Service Award in 2015 and 2016 at ORIA, and named the fourth best place to work in Australia at the BRW Great Places to Work Awards in 2017.
