2023 Wrap Up - OAK Magazine

2023 Wrap Up - OAK Magazine

Until you look at where you started, you can’t really see how far you've come, and after a quick number crunch I'm extremely proud of what I've achieved this year as a solopreneur and mum of four.
  • 25 episodes of @afriendofminepodcast
  • Issue 13 with a courageous conversation around eating disorders in regional Australia, and mentioning 87 women-led businesses.
  • Christmas Digital Magazine
  • 37 Club OAK members
  • 23 contributors (writers & photographers)
  • 63 articles (I can’t imagine the word count!)
  • 1 artwork collaboration with @amykilbydesigns
  • 14 in-person events as MC or guest speaker. Events include Mark Bouris, The Collective Grenfell, Elders, Sunshine Bendigo, Moorabool Shire, Australian Women in Ag, and on stage at Parliament House in Canberra for AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.
  • 1 podcast van tour across Riverina Murray region NSW including Henty Field Days
  • Launch of OAK and A Friend of Mine merchandise
  • 8 podcast episodes for Be.Bendigo - we launched at number 10 on the Apple Podcast Chart - Entrepreneurship
  • 26 social media workshops (in-person & online)
  • 12 mentoring sessions
  • 120+ Instagram posts
Other highlights were being announced the VIC state chair of AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award - I feel comfortably out of my depth; a finalist for the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards - Women in Business category; officially opening the 2023 Speed Machinery Field Days; ambassador of the 2023 Apiam Bendigo Cup; and personally completing two hikes with a group of encouraging friends.

What I haven't included is the number of conversations and kind words I've received from our community that makes every moment worthwhile.

Talk soon,
Kimberley
